Sodium Metabisulfite is a kind of sodium salt, it is a kind of inorganic compound, also called Sodium Pyrosulfite or spelled as Sodium Metabisulphite. The product is white or slightly yellow crystalline powder, with a gentle or heavy smell of SO2. Sodium metabisulfite plays important roles in modern industries as a preservative, bleaching agent, leavening agent, antioxidant, color fixative, mold inhibitor, coagulant, dechlorinate agent, cotton fabric cooking agent, reductant, mineral processing agent, concrete water reducing agent, etc.. The product can also be used for the production of sodium hydrosulfite, chloroform, phenylpropylsulfone, benzaldehyde, sulfamethazine, metamizole, caprolactam, and etc..
