Citric Acid

Citric Acid

Product description:

Citric acid is a relatively weak acid found in many fruits, including lemons, limes, oranges, and certain berries. LIONCHEMS offers citric acid monohydrate and anhydrous citric acid.

Citric acid is widely used in a variety of applications. In the food industry, it is used as an acidity regulator, preservative, and flavor enhancer. In the oilfield and water treatment industries, it is used for pH adjustment, scale inhibition, and cleaning. In the cosmetics and detergent industries, it is also used as an antioxidant, plasticizer, and detergent.

Application:

1. Food Industry: As an acidity regulator, flavor enhancer, and chelating agent.

2. Oilfield Industry: Citric acid's weak acidity, strong chelating ability, and low corrosiveness make it a key application material in several critical areas, including drilling fluid treatment, reservoir acidizing and unblocking, and oil and gas equipment cleaning.

3. Water Treatment Industry: Its weak acidity, strong chelating ability, and low corrosiveness make it ideal for inhibiting and removing scale, adjusting pH and stabilizing water quality, and preventing and cleaning metal corrosion.

4. Detergent Industry, etc.: Antioxidant.

Packaging:
- Plastic paper bag or three layer Kraft paper bag, net weight of each is 25kg.
- Polypropylene container bags of 500kg or 1000kg net each.

Storage:
Citric Acid may be stored for 24 months from the date of manufacture in the un-opened original container. A relative humidity of 50% and a temperature range of 10-35ºC are the most suitable conditions for storage to prevent Citric Acid from crystallization.
- Keep in cool, dry and ventilated place, away from light.
- Avoid mixing with poisonous, peculiar smell and colored powder.
