Barite/Barium sulfate
Barite powder, also known as barium sulfate powder, is an important mineral powder with a specific gravity of 4.0-4.6.
Application:
In oil drilling, 80%-90% of barite powder is used as a mud weighting agent to cool drill bits and lubricate drill pipes;
In chemical production, it is a raw material for producing various barium compounds such as barium carbonate and barium chloride;
In the construction industry, it can be used as concrete aggregate and can also replace lead plates in radiation-shielding gravity walls;
In the rubber, plastics, and paint industries, it can be used as a filler and brightener to improve product performance.

Safety precautions:
Barite powder itself is non-toxic, but inhaling its dust may cause symptoms such as chest tightness, chest pain, and coughing.
Wear a dust mask when using it, and store it in a sealed container, avoiding direct sunlight.
